The term "Ferrari 250 GTO Monza" refers to the early test version of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO that was tested at the Monza circuit in September 1961. Due to its rough, early appearance, this prototype was nicknamed "Il Mostro" (The Monster). These tests served as the basis for the final Ferrari 250 GTO that debuted in 1962. One GTO Monza was produced, and it was completely destroyed.
