250 GT Sperimentale (1961)
The Ferrari 250 GT SWB Sperimentale is a rare 1961 racing prototype. Designed by Pininfarina, it served as a test bed for aerodynamics and engine development. It helped pave the way for the legendary 250 GTO. Only a few unique prototypes were built. The car made its debut at the 1961 24 Hours of Le Mans under the Scuderia Ferrari banner in the prototype class. Although it retired due to engine trouble, the race yielded crucial data for the development of the GTO rear spoiler.
