The Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan is a unique 1962 Ferrari, based on a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, chassis number 2819 GT. It was built to compete with the new 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and other races in the FIA World Sportscar Championship.
Enzo Ferrari refused to sell GTOs to Count Volpi because Volpi had hired former Ferrari employees at ATS. Hence this look-alike. So this is another one of those models that was built in response to Enzo's (also note the lack of Ferrari logos). We could perhaps call this model an anti-Ferrari.

Bizzarrini applied all the ideas he had developed during the GTO's development and, together with coachbuilder Piero Drogo, developed an aerodynamically advanced body that was even lower than the GTO's, with a roofline that extended dramatically to the rear, following Kamm's aerodynamic theory. The resulting shooting-brake appearance led the French press to nickname it "La Camionnette" (little truck), while English-speaking journalists called it the "Breadvan".
